Cali
I arrived yesterday at 1pm , its soo hot and humid that nice hair automatically becomes puffy... other than that, well what can I say... it was a festivo, so the city was dead, its looked like a sunday afternoon, everything was closed (im telling you, cali is like a town) I cant believe Im going to be here for so long. In some places its like I never left, and in others its like why why why did they construct this here?!?!?! jajaja After all these years its not Cali and not New York that became home... it was boston... my room here is still my room , and being in it reminds me of high school... everything reminds me of high school. This whole "it feels like I never left" is wierd!!!!
I also miss my peopleeee... the people here are not here.... In other words, some are in USA waiting for their OPT and others are staying in Bogota because they already realized (who knows how long ago) that Cali is a tad bit small... its almost as if when you leave you expand and going back to original size is hard than what you think. Some will arrive in a couple of weeks only to leave again.
On the up side (there is always an upside) Im happy to eat whatever I want without worrying about gaining weight..I swear American water makes me fat!! As my sister says, now that we are here its all about relaxing... So sun, pool, some shopping and of course beautifully cheap manicures are in order.
Soon Ill take pictures and upload them so you can see where I am... I dont want you guys to think Im in some wierd ghetto third world country.
I expect to much happier about being here in a couple of days. I think that being away from home makes you idealized it like nothing else, and then when you come back its a bit confusing and you need some time to find yourself in your own home.. we'll see.
